EventEase Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the EventEase website, platform, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by EventEase, LLC (“EventEase,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or hosting or participating in an event through EventEase, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

  1. Description of Services

EventEase provides a software platform designed to help organizations plan, manage, and support fundraising events, including event websites, registrations, sponsorships, reporting tools, and integrations with third-party services.

EventEase is a technology platform provider and does not organize, operate, sponsor, or control events hosted on the platform.

  1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate account information
  • Safeguarding login credentials
  • All activity occurring under your account

EventEase may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

  1. Event Organizer Responsibilities

If you create or manage an event (“Event Organizer”), you are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of event content and descriptions
  • Event fulfillment and delivery
  • Communications with donors, participants, and sponsors
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Determining tax deductibility, fair market value, and Paid Above Value (PAV) amounts
  • Providing required disclosures on receipts and confirmations

EventEase does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice.

  1. Payments and Fees (UPDATED)

Payment-related features are governed by the EventEase Payment Services Agreement, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

  • EventEase does not provide payment processing, banking, escrow, or custodial services as part of its standard offering.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment processors under accounts held by Event Organizers or other authorized entities.
  • EventEase does not receive, hold, or disburse funds unless expressly agreed to in a separate, written Managed Payments Addendum executed between EventEase and the applicable Event Organizer.

EventEase may charge platform fees, service fees, or other agreed charges. All fees are disclosed prior to processing Transactions.

  1. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with third-party providers, including payment processors, email services, and analytics tools.

EventEase is not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party services. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms.

  1. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services for:

  • Illegal activities
  • Unauthorized gambling or raffles
  • Misrepresentation of nonprofit or charitable status
  • Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading conduct
  • Infringement of intellectual property rights
  • Any activity that violates payment network rules or applicable law

EventEase may suspend or terminate access for violations.

  1. Intellectual Property

EventEase retains all rights, title, and interest in the Services, including software, trademarks, and content provided by EventEase.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant EventEase a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such content solely to operate and improve the Services.

  1. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to the EventEase Privacy Policy.

EventEase may collect and process data as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, and improve platform functionality.

  1. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

EVENTEASE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

EventEase does not guarantee uninterrupted service, event success, fundraising outcomes, or donor participation.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventEase shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, donations, or event proceeds.

EventEase’s total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to EventEase in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

  1. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EventEase from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of:

  • Your event or offerings
  • Content you provide
  • Violations of these Terms
  • Disputes with donors, participants, or sponsors
  1. Suspension and Termination

EventEase may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time for violations of these Terms or applicable law.

You may discontinue use of the Services at any time, subject to outstanding obligations.

  1. Changes to the Services or Terms

EventEase may modify the Services or these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
